All applications for Rookie of the Year shall be due in the Board Office on the date set forth by the Awards Committee when nomination forms are delivered to the brokers.
It will be the responsibility of the broker to submit the necessary application forms for the eligible Rookie of the Year candidate.
The Rookie of the Year Award shall be based on points as listed below. The Rookie who achieves the most points will be declared Rookie of the Year.
Ten (10) points for each $100,000.00 of sales and/or sold listing volume.
Ten (10) points for each transaction
Ten (10) points for Realtor Spirit
Ten (10) points for Board Activity
The Award Committee will consider all applications and decide if a participant has met the minimum criteria before an award is presented.
Requirements for Consideration
- To qualify as a candidate, an individual must be a member in good standing of the Thomasville Area Board of Realtors
- Candidate must be a licensed REALTOR for not more than two years. Eligibility will be based on the date the original real estate license was issued. Eligibility period shall not be for more than two (2) calendar years. Previous winners of the Rookie of the Year Award are not eligibile to participate.
- Candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) transactions and must have produced a minimum of $1,000,000.00 in sales and/or listings. A “qualifying year” for volume shall be defined as a full calendar year beginning January 1 and running through December 31.
- New licensees will only be considered for two calendar years regardless of what month they become active within the calendar year.
- All qualifying transactions must be the original listing and/or sale of the qualifying candidate and must be verifiable through the MLS Service or through the original listing/selling documents.
- The effective date for credits for sales and listings shall be the date on which title is passed.
- Candidate must demonstrate that they are active members by attending the general Board Meetings.
- Candidate should demonstrate REALTOR’S Spirit by practicing high principles, practicing the rules and regulations of the Code of Ethics, and demonstrating the principle of good real estate relations with co-workers and peers
- The Awards Committee will recognize all candidates at the Annual Awards Banquet prior to announcing the winner of the Rookie of the Year Award.
The Rookie of the Year Award will be administered by the Awards Committee and the Policies and Procedures of the Awards Committee are made a part of this criteria.
