Four functional areas have been identified that best describe the areas in which the Thomasville Area Board of REALTORS® will focus activities and actions to provide the members with valuable and effective programs and services.

ASSOCIATION BENEFITS

Member Communications/ Member Benefits

TABR is dedicated to delivering clear communication and valuable member benefits that strengthen professional growth, connection, and success.

 

  • Providing timely and transparent updates on industry news, board initiatives, and member
  • Offering resources, tools, and benefits that enhance professional development and business
  • Ensuring members feel connected, supported, and valued within the REALTOR®
  • Continuously evaluating and improving benefits to meet evolving member
  • Direct the Membership Committee to design and implement an affiliate partnership program along with a member incentive
  • Conduct a thorough review and make necessary revisions to the annual Strategic Plan before finalizing the annual

COMMUNICATION AND PR

Consumer Outreach / Community Service / PR

TABR shall promote value, professionalism, presence, awareness, and knowledge of Realtors® to the general public/consumer.

 

  • Promote and protect the REALTOR® image and E hance the REALTOR® image through community involvement and public/consumer awareness
  • Promote and protect REALTOR® image
    • Utilize NAR’s ad generator to add filler to local newspapers and publications
    • Educate the membership on the proper use of REALTOR® “R’ and logo during orientation, newsletters, etc.
    • Enhance REALTOR® image through community involvement and public/consumer awareness
    • Actively educate the public the importance and benefit of hiring a Realtor®
  • Task community service committee with establishing quarterly events with a consumer outreach component (toys for tots, food drive, first responder’s luncheon, the arts, school supplies)
  • Research and identify NAR and GAR grants for community and consumer outreach projects/programs

ADVOCACY

Political and Governmental Affairs/ Laws and Regulations

TABR shall encourage member & consumer involvement in political issues that pertain to property rights, the local real estate industry, and the community.

  • Actively participate in community and governmental affairs as related to real estate
  • Awareness of Issues
    • Research and identify NAR and GAR grants for RPAC fundraising and/or for issues support
    • Actively participate in community and governmental affairs as related to real estate
    • Task RPAC committee to attend, report to board of directors, and initiate local calls to action as needed
    • Provide resources to local elected officials (On Common Ground, RPR Statistics)

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPEMENT

TABR is committed to advancing the professionalism and competence of its members through impactful educational opportunities.

•       Education of Our Members

  • Deliver professional development programs that equip members with the knowledge and skills needed to excel.
  • Provide continuing education that fulfills GREC, NAR, and GAR
  • Offer engaging and relevant programs featuring expert speakers on timely industry
  • Promote the GAR Scholarship to encourage members in pursuing designations and certifications.
  • Actively market CE classes and educational opportunities to increase member
  • Strengthen members’ understanding of professional standards of conduct by actively providing access to TABR bylaws, policies, and procedures, ensuring all members have and know these
